Calls to emergency services are not usually bearing good news — but one police station in Florida received a heartwarming 911 call on Thanksgiving from a five-year-old boy inviting staff to join his family for dinner.

Shortly before his family sat down for the annual feast, Walton County resident Billy Nolin called emergency services dispatchers at the Walton County Sheriff's Office to invite the officers over.
"With all the bad calls we take on a daily basis this one was a welcomed happy call that made all of us smile," lead communications officer Monica Webster said.Billy's kindness was rewarded — deputies Damon Byrd and Aaron Ethridge paid the family a visit.They gave Billy a sheriff's badge and let him sit in their patrol car.
Billy told local news organisation Northwest Florida Daily News that he "wanted them to have cheesecake with us".
"It's my favourite, so I wanted them to have some, too," he said.
The Walton County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook that Billy had "melted all the hearts" in the police station."While we do not encourage this use of 911 ... we are so honoured at the invitation," the post read.

Barron Trump will be the first presidential son to live in the White House since 1963.
John F. Kennedy Jr. was the last boy to live in the White House. He was three years old when his father was assassinated. Before that was four-year old Quentin Roosevelt, who moved in in 1901 after his father Theodore became president.
Ten-year-old Barron is already receiving tonnes of media attention, much of it fawning. Severalpublications put-together round-ups of people commenting on how cute Barron looked during his father’s victory speech. Barron kept shifting around and trying to stay awake during the speech early in the morning Wednesday. He seemed similarly bored during Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention.
Barron Trump is close to breaking another record. After Sasha Obama, who was only 7 when her father was elected president, Barron will be the youngest child in the White House in about fifty years.
No matter their age, the children of presidents receive close, sometimes vicious, scrutiny from the American press. By contrast, the children of Canadian Prime Ministers can generally count on their personal lives not being ruthlessly examined.
Manny Pacquiao beats Jessie Vargas by unanimous decision!

Pacquiao wins a unanimous decision by scores of 114-113, 118-109 and 118-109.
“My aim every round was to knock him out,” says Pacquiao during an in-ring interview with Stephen A Smith. “I feel happy.”
Adds the new WBO welterweight champion: “After this I’m going back to Philippines to go work. But for the next fight, I’ll talk to Bob.”
Smith presses Pacquiao on whether he would rather fight Terrence Crawford or Floyd Mayweather, the two biggest names put out there for his next opponent.
“Whoever the people want me to fight,” he says. “I’m not picking an opponent or choosing anything.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr stopped by to see an old foe, and Manny Pacquiao tried his best to give him a show.
With Mayweather watching intently from a ringside seat, Pacquiao dropped Jessie Vargas in the second round and bloodied his face Saturday night on his way to a lopsided decision that gave him a piece of the welterweight title once again.
It was vintage Pacquiao at times, even though he couldn’t stop Vargas like he desperately wanted to. And with Mayweather at ringside it certainly will stir talk of a second fight between the boxers who went at it last year in the richest fight ever.
That, of course, would depend on Mayweather coming out of retirement and Pacquiao being able to fight while still attending to his duties as a senator in the Philippines. Mayweather did not answer questions about a possible return to the ring shouted at him by writers at ringside.
“I came to take my daughter to the fights,” Mayweather said, with his daughter sitting next to him.
Just before the bell rang to start the fight, Pacquiao smiled and waved a fist at Mayweather. He then came out aggressive, trying to walk down Vargas and make it a short night.
But Pacquiao, who has not knocked out an opponent in seven years, wasn’t going to stop the younger Vargas in his hometown. Vargas had difficulty dealing with Pacquiao’s speed, but was more than willing to trade punches to try and lure him into a brawl.
Vargas was cut over the right eye by an accidental clash of heads in the eighth, and blood trickled into his eye but it didn’t seem to be a factor.In the eighth round he succeeded at doing that, hitting Pacquiao with a big right and punching his gloves together as if to tell him to stand and fight. Pacquiao went right back after him and they traded punches before staring at each other when the bell sounded to end the round.
The taller Vargas landed some good right hands of his own, but they were infrequent and he rarely followed up on them. Still, they were enough to keep Pacquiao away at times and offset some of his advantage with speed.
Mayweather took a ringside seat alongside his daughter to watch the man who helped make him untold millions when they fought in 2015. Mayweather won that fight, and Pacquiao’s performance was largely panned, though he claimed to have an injured shoulder.
Pacquiao, fighting in his 22nd title fight in a pro career that stretches back to 1995, trained at night in the Philippines in the weeks leading up to the fight so he could tend to his day job as a newly elected senator. With the senate out of session, he was back in a more familiar place, with a crowd of some 16,132 nearly filling the UNLV campus arena to watch him take on Vargas, who was in only his second title bout.
Pacquiao, who earned a reported $100m to fight Mayweather in the richest fight ever, was guaranteed $4m plus a percentage of the revenue of the fight. Vargas got $2.8m.
